The Continuum will be developed on the plot of land that belongs to Mr. Wee Thaim Siew. A well-known millionaire property developer and hotelier. He was most famous for developing his first hotel, the 7 storey hotel at 229 Rochor Road in 1953 which was a long-standing landmark in the area until the 1990s. In 1957, Mr. Wee built the Hollywood Theatre and in 1986, he built the Lion City Hotel. In 1939 Mr. Wee Thiam Siew started to develop houses along Thiam Siew Road.
